On a beautiful sunny and warm afternoon, the 5th of October, the harvest began. Just a small group of family went up to harvest Rosignoa – an olive variety used in the blending of Intenso. Four generations of the family were present and it was nice to get a quiet start before the big team arrives to help us out. Other than falling over a few times Liam is getting the hand picking technique just right – he has many harvests ahead of him!
The olives are looking great and the continued dry weather over the next few weeks will be a blessing to help us gather all the olives in a soon as possible so that they are full of vitality to give us that full taste that we love in our oils.
