BRIST QUALITY
There are many things that make up a quality product and the experience of learning about it. Below you will find much information about our oils such as, organoleptic profiles, suggested food pairings, chemical analyses, and our extensive list of awards. However the most important thing to us is your feedback, our guests, customers and partners, whom we value very much.
FOOD PAIRINGS
ANALYSES
Chemical analyses are an important tool for us to confirm that our oils always remain of exceptional quality. If you are not experience in reading such documents, one of the most important number is the oils “Acidity” (a measure of free fatty acids/% oleic acid. This is effectively a measure of freshness – thus quality. For extra virgin olive oil this number must be under 0,8 (the lower the better). This year our oils average 0,1 – meaning eight times fresher than the requirement.
AWARDS
As Brist has become a recognised world-class olive oil producer at home and abroad, over recent years we have shifted our focus in competing in just the very highest quality copetitions and guides.
In recent years we have been present in the EvoOleum world top 100 guide placing once in the top 50, twice in the world’s top 20 oils and most recently in the World’s joint No.1 oil. This hand-picked oil has, among other awards, has received the Gold Award in 2018, 2020 and 2022 at the largest and most prestigious New York olive oil competition. We have also featured more than ten times in the Flos Olei guide book. We are very proud that Silvano was deservedly honoured, for his contribution to olive growing and olive oil production, in 2020 with a lifetime achievement award.
