Join us for an owner-led experience where you will walk through our grove, learn how olives are grown and harvested, and understand what truly defines a high-quality extra virgin olive oil. We will guide you through a tasting, teaching you how to recognize freshness, balance, and authenticity – just like professionals do.
This is more than a tour. It is time spent on ancient land, immersed in the natural beauty and cultural richness of southern Istria. EVENING UNDER OLIVES
Tour Experience
Summer evenings on the grove are something special.
When the heat of the day fades, it’s time to slow down, meet new people and share stories. We host our sunset tours only a few evenings each week, as Lena and I also have a young family. Places are limited so every visit stays personal — a chance for us to share our story and hear a little of yours.
Join us on the farm as the day cools and discover the story behind our olive oils and the wider tradition of Istrian olive growing. Our relaxed walk through the grove explores the work of the farm, the local ecology and biodiversity, and the long history of olives on these gentle hills near Vodnjan, overlooking the Brijuni Islands — a place prized for olive growing since Roman times.
After the walk we gather beneath our centennial trees for a guided olive oil tasting at sunset. We then enjoy a simple picnic of cured meats, local cheeses, fruits and vegetables sourced from our grove and nearby farms.
The evening ends with a glass of sparkling wine, candlelight, good conversation, and the quiet moment when the stars appear above the grove.

WALK AND TASTE
Daytime Tour Experience
We really pack a lot into two hours.
Outside the main season, with fewer visitors, the tour becomes more of a conversation, giving plenty of time to explore your questions and interests. We run tours on windy and even rainy days too, and it is wonderful to experience the grove when the elements of nature are at their most alive.
This olive oil tour is dynamic and goes beyond the work of the farm itself. Along the walk we explore the remarkable ecology of the land, as well as the rich history and archaeology of the area. You will discover why these gentle hills around Vodnjan, overlooking the sea, have been considered an ideal place for growing olives for more than 2,000 years.
We conclude with a guided olive oil tasting, where there is so much to learn and discover. During the tasting we serve focaccia bread, our own olives, and finish with ice cream topped with our award-winning extra virgin olive oil.

We are a small family so our tours are on limited days shown below. If you are a group of 8 or more, it may be possible to request a different day.

where we invite you to a very special experience with us, is located on the
gentle slopes above Vodnjan, with a beautiful view over the Brijuni Islands.
Our grove is not just about the natural heritage but also about the cultural
heritage to be found there too.
All of our tours are interactive
and are always a two way conversation about the many elements that go into
producing a world-class olive oil in a sustainable and ethical way. We love our
tours to be a sharing experience, not just of our thoughts but yours too. Most
importantly our tours (especially our summer tours) are a chance to slow down
and to create a deeper connection with nature and each other.

Autumn, winter and spring are also wonderful times to visit the grove and a real opportunity to see behind the scenes of what olive growing is all about. During the cooler parts of the year we also do walking tours. Be ready, when nature takes control, it can get a little wild up there on our olive grove, but the wildness is beautiful…
